Preparation Instructions:
As a primer layer (before painting): dissolve in 1 liter of lukewarm water (coverage approx. 22 m²)
As a final layer (after painting): dissolve in 2 liters of lukewarm water (coverage approx. 35 m²)
Mix the solution thoroughly and let it sit for 12 hours until the ingredients fully dissolve. Stir again before use.
Technology of Operation:
The treated surface shields against variable electric fields through absorption and exhibits high dielectric loss, resulting in a reduction of viruses and bacteria by more than 2 log within 24 hours (>99%)
The antimicrobial effect occurs only when the treatment penetrates the paint layer or vice versa and both are completely dried. The virus-reducing action does not occur with the paint or treatment alone. The reduction of microorganisms confirmed in studies does not constitute a declaration of biocidal activity. The product acts purely through physical means – it contains no active substances and does not trigger chemical reactions.
The protective layer formed by ADR SOL Walls uses physical phenomena such as dielectric relaxation of water molecules trapped in the material's structure, cyclic remagnetization, and the accumulation and discharge of spatial electric charge at grain boundaries—according to the Maxwell–Wagner–Sillars mechanism.
The product contains no active substances classified as biocidal under Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012, causes no chemical reactions, and does not require registration as a biocidal product. Its antimicrobial action is purely physical.
Surfaces coated with an aqueous solution containing ADR SOL demonstrated strong virucidal (ProChimia Surfaces Sp. z o.o.: Report No. 1/2021) and bactericidal (M&R LAB Microbiology & Research: Research Report No. 21/2024) properties, although the additive and solution did not contain biocidal agents. This effect is related to the physical interaction obtained by discharging the accumulated spatial electric charge with high dielectric loss of the dried surface (IFM PAN: Protocol 4/2018 and Test Report 1/2018).
